Hi there! I'm Maira and I'm the owner and principal researcher of Quali Q. I'm a Registered Dietitian with a MSc and PhD in Nutrition and Metabolism.
Much like many of you, 11 years ago I learned qualitative methods by reading and doing. When the time came to publish my work, however, the number and extent of revisions were painful.
I came close to giving up.
That's one of the reasons why I created the Qualitative Research Blueprint- because I want to help qualitative health researchers like you avoid the mistakes I made and the hassle I went through when I published my first qualitative research project.
I've come a long way from that first, painful publication. I now have more than 10 publications from qualitative research projects, 2 conference proceedings, and 19 oral and poster presentations. I was also able to make a big impact with one of my studies! It resulted in the creation of a really cool local food program.
